IN 2023 Oddfellow’s were invited to perform at Lewes Psych Fest, an annual event that has, over the years, featured some phenomenal psychedelic artists from Snapped Ankles to Death and Vanilla. The festival encouraged us to perform a more muscular set, relishing the chance to crack up the flange, spring reverb and delay, and to play tracks we’d never tackled live before, like Down in the Water.
Having never released a live session in all of our 22 years together – and as we don’t gig as often as we should – this seemed the perfect chance. We planned to take a recording from the desk but the desk had other plans that night. Instead, a few weeks later, we took our psych set into Church Road Studios in Hove and, over a day, thrashed out eight songs that pretty much span our back catalogue and give ,we hope, a bit of psychedelic colour to some old favourites.
The album will be released on March 1st as a gatefold CD and digital download and is available to pre-order here. Pre-orders will be posted within ten days and both digital and CD pre-orders come with an exclusive download of Strange Lights in the Night Sky live.
If anyone on our mailout – or anyone you know – would like to review this new album or feature it on a radio show etc please get in touch for press packs.
If you’d like us to play somewhere and can help make it happen, get in touch.

This all sounds rather lovely. Is there anywhere I can read about it, an interview in a fine local magazine maybe?
